OK, So I Collect A Lot of Things . . .Part 2
After all of this, could I possibly collect anything else? Well . . . yes. I soon got interested in Hall teapots. I have about 5 or 6. I also got interested in Hall's "Crocus" pattern of dinner service -- now that's hard to find . . . and really hard to find cheap! Then I got interested in Franciscan. In my antique mall travels, I would keep looking at this particular Franciscan pattern known as "Ivy." Here's what it looks like:

Oh, and here's what "Crocus" looks like:

So. Anyway. I was talking about Franciscan "Ivy." I kept noticing this pattern, but thought to myself, "Can't collect any more plates -- I already have two sets of stoneware!" But the pattern kept pulling at me, and now I have about enough for a simple 4-piece setting (I'm lacking one soup bowl). Plus a few serving pieces. (A bit of trivia: This is the same china that Lucy and Desi used on "I Love Lucy." Watch some reruns sometime, and you may catch a glimpse of it.) Yes, I now have four sets of dishes. And more bits and pieces. I'm the Imelda of the dishware set. And, because I was redoing my kitchen in a Mary Englebreit wallpaper pattern, I decided that Franciscan dinner plates on wall hangers would make a nice accent. So now I have dinner plates in 4 different patterns (but just one each).
