HAR
Enameled Skunk Pin -- cute cartoon-y fella, part of what one
collector affectionately calls the "rug rat" collection.
Textured goldtone, with black, white and green enameling. Tiny rhinestones
dot the tail. 1-1/2" tall. Condition: Very
Good, with small enamel chip on head. SOLD |
 |
B11322 |
Hobo
Frog Pin -- this guy's hittin' the road with his polka-dot kerchief
sack. Newer goldtone pin with green, yellow and red enameling. 1-1/2"
tall. Condition: Good, with some minor chipping. $30 |
 |
B11388 |
Rhinestone
Apple Pin -- older pot metal fruit pin in a silvertone finish. The
pin's age patina makes it look antiqued. 2-1/2" tall. Condition:
Good, with age-related metal discoloration. $40 |
 |
B11365 |
Mexican
Fruit Lady Pin -- a lovely seniorita, in plastic, carrying fruits
and flowers home from the market. Over-painted, molded plastic. Measures
2-3/4" tall. Safety pin-type clasp. Condition: Very
Good, with minor color wear. $35 |
 |
B11119 |
Lumberjack
Pin -- cute pin with a real block of wood, I'd say this woodcutter
has his hands full! Silvertone pot metal; some enamel loss. $18 |
 |
B11278 |
Pearlized
Plastic Birds in Flight -- this
is a delight! Two pins and a set of earrings, for a wonderful spring or
summer look. Goldtone metal set with clear rhinestones and glowing pearly
pink plastic cabochons. Earrings are screwback. Pink is a bit more pure
than in the picture; I had trouble getting the color balance right. Pins
are 1-7/8" and 1-3/8"; earrings are 7/8". $38 |
 |
B11201 |
Enameled
Mexican Guitar Player Pin -- I have seen this in a book; I think it
may be in Schiffer's "Fun Jewelry." It appears to be metalicized
plastic, but seems a bit heavy for plastic, so may be pot metal. Brightly
enameled figural of a Mexican man playing the guitar. Minor loss of
enamel, consistent with age. Measures 1-5/8" tall. $22 |
 |
B11367 |
Birds
'n Nest Pin -- 30s pot metal figural pin with two birds hovering
over an egg-filled nest. Rhinestones and faux pearls. Goldtone;
2-3/4" across. Condition: Good, with loss of
goldwash on the high spots. $48 |

Jomaz
Bee Pin -- this is really a cute, cartoon-y pin of a bee sniffing a
flower. Because it is done in the newer epoxy enamel, I believe that it
dates from the 1970s (Jomaz went out of business in the late 70s). He's
small, only 1-1/4" across. Condition: Very
Good. HOLD |
 |
B11310 |
"Old
Salts" Pin -- a delightful old pin depicting two sailor
buddies strutting off to town. A wonderful piece of WWII
memorabilia; 1-1/4" across. Condition: Fair,
with missing and crazed enamel; dulled pot metal consistent with age.

Copper
and Porcelain African Woman Pin -- a splendid piece, so typical of
the 1950s. Porcelain dark turquoise head complements copper topknot and
dangly coiled earrings. A majestic 2-1/2" tall. Condition:
Excellent. $75 |
 |
B11132 |
Watering
Can Pin -- this pin may not be all that old, but as I have a soft
spot for figurals, I had to snag it. Textured goldtone cast piece, with
enameled flowers. Great for the gardener in your life (or someone whose
only blooms are artificial . . . these are perpetual, ha!). 1-3/8"
high. $28 |
 |
B11422 |
Cardboard/Leatherette
School Dangle Pin --
this is very old; I would guess 30s or 40s. It's a school pin, apparently;
it has a padded "report card" and a "Who's Who" book.
Appears to be composed of cardboard, leatherette, and string. About
3" tall. Condition:
Fair, with scuffs, tears and fading.
$20 |

Trojan
Figural Pin -- a most interesting pin! Dark goldwashed pot metal.
The shield is set with milky and red smooth cabochons. There is a mark on
the back: a capital K . . . but I do not know what manufacturer that
represents. Two small things: the front foot is a bit bent up, and I don't
want to chance breaking it. There's excess glue (yellowed) in and around 2
or 3 of the cabs, but you really need to look closely to see it.
2-1/4" tall. $38 |
 |
B10969 |
Small
Blackamoor Pin -- only a little of the enamel has worn off this
tiny pin, measuring only 1-1/4" high. Clear and golden rhinestones
complement the goldtone and enamel. Pinback has darkened a little. $40 |
 |
B11008 |
Elf
and Swan Pin -- this
is another pin that might be more contemporary than I usually carry, but
it was so fun I couldn't pass it up. Bright goldtone with pastel
rhinestones. 2-3/4" across. $40 |
 |
B11020 |
Dragon
Pin -- cute little unsigned goldtone dragon, with a black antiqued
finish. Funny; I don't think I've ever seen a dragon with a fish tail;
maybe this is a mer-dragon! 2-1/8" across. $25 |
 |
B11001 |
Popeye
the Sailor Man Pin -- this
is a little pin, only 1-3/8" tall. Nicely made, though, with
excellent detail -- you can even see Popeye's arm tattoo! Diestamp
construction. $25 |
 |
B10794 |
Li'l
Abner Pin --
funny rendition of the legendary comic strip character . . . he's running
from Daisy Mae, no doubt! Thin metal diestamp construction;
"C" clasp. Excellent condition, with extremely minor enamel
chipping. Measures 2-1/2" high. $75 |
 |
B10923 |
Cute
Birdie Pin -- I've seen variations of this pin that were signed;
this one is not signed but is very well made. Textured goldtone, set with
"smoky" round rhinestones. Green rhinestone eye. Measures a tad
under 2" tall. $35 |
 |
B10941 |
J.J.
Googly-Eyed Mandolin Pin --
isn't he cute? JJ. made a number of these bug-eyed pins . . . animals,
fruit and vegetables, and (as you can see) musical instruments. This guy
is brush-textured goldtone, 2-3/4" tall. $25 |
 |
B10775 |

cow with his tongue sticking out. Goldtone over pot metal, with enameled
touches. about 1-3/4" across. $35 |
