"Pineapple" Bakelite Buckle -- I guess
this is a buckle -- it's composed of two pieces that hook together in the back. But I
can't figure out how you'd attach a solid belt to it -- there are no other bars on the
back! A macrame belt would work nicely with it -- the holes could be used to thread the
macrame rope through. Anybody else have any ideas, please email me! It's a nicely-carved
piece, though, and I had to get it! A few minor scratches and chips around the holes.
3" tall, 2-1/2" wide. $45 |

30s Bakelite Deco 2-Piece Buckle -- Splendid! Nicely sculpted. The metal parts (on back) are a bit
discolored, as you'd expect. The back says "Patent No. 1965116 -- this patent number
was issued in 1934 (this doesn't mean the entire buckle was made in that year, but I'm
betting it was close!) Overall, the buckle, when fastened, measures 2-3/4" x 2".
Will accommodate a belt that is 1-1/4". $38 |

Cherry Red Bakelite Buckle -- this is a nicely carved piece. A light "patina" of scratches, as
you would expect from a piece that was loved -- but mostly only visible if tilted to the
light. Measures about 2-5/8" wide. Metal pieces have dulled with age. $28 |
